What is Black Garnet and how it is produced

Black Garnet is a material generated by duly authorized recovery of black slag from a steel mill. The recovered product obtained, called Inertex, has a composition and chemical characteristics similar to rocks of volcanic origin, derived from the primary processing of steel in a second casting steel plant. The melting process of the incoming scrap leaves some residues in suspension which are then poured into special tubs and poured into the casting fields at 1000 ° C.
Once spilled, they are suddenly cooled with water, this process allows all the gases to escape immediately from the inert material, guaranteeing continuous chemical and analytical stability over time.
Subsequent sieving crushing and subsequent special treatments of Inertex lead it to have a high hardness and low friability and an angular and irregular structure that allows it to be recycled several times, perfect to be used as an abrasive for waterjet systems and for sandblasting operations including those in the open air as it is free from free silicates.

100% recycled

+20% volume

100% Made in Italy

  • Black Garnet is 100% recycled and Ecological with CE2 + certification is SILICA FREE
  • is SILICA FREE
  • with the same weight of the natural garnet it has a volumetric yield greater than 20%, this means that every five tons of material, one is free
  • it is an inert material, so after its use it can be disposed of using the CER 12.01.17 (non-hazardous sludge)
  • The production process through which Black Garnet is obtained is TÜV certified, therefore the abrasive guarantees its constant quality over time, on all production batches, even though it does not have this certification directly.
  • We offer a certified disposal service for exhausted sludge
  • is 100% Made in Italy
  • Black Garnet costs much less than traditional abrasives and protects the environment

MINIMUM DISADVANTAGES

  • The cutting speed is slightly lower depending on the quality of the mineral garnet used
  • The increase in PH of the water in the cutting tank can oxidize some aluminum alloys

the ecological abrasive, Silica Free with high yield

That’s right: ecology, health and economic benefits. How is it possible? Let’s find out together!

BLACK GARNET is a hard synthetic aggregate derived from INERTEX ™ of industrial production certified CE2+, coming from recycling with REACH registration: 01-2119485979-09.

The BLACK GARNET abrasive can be used as an abrasive, for use as a tool for Waterjet systems and sandblasting systems, obviously in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 11126-6 standard.

Our BLACK GARNET can be mixed with other abrasives to have the ecological percentage of 30% of recycled material, required by the regulations.

And that’s not all: other important applications are in fact being certified.

So no more quarries and disfiguring interventions on the landscape: this means ECOLOGY!
